BCAK Walk for Awareness

We invite you to join us on Saturday, September 27th starting at 11:30am for Breast Cancer Action Kingston's 'Walk for Awareness' at the Lake Ontario Park. We will gather at the main building for games (with prizes), kids' zone for the little ones, interesting local vendor tables to browse and silent auction items. At 1pm, we will set off to walk a 1km scenic route along the Waterfront Pathway on Lake Ontario past the Providence Care hospital and the 1 km return.
This is an annual fundraiser for BCAK - we hope that if you're unable to join us on the walk, you will consider sponsoring a walker or making a donation. We appreciate any and all support!! All donations of $25 or more will receive a tax receipt.
We are introducing a new platform to register for the Walk … Zeffy.com. Read the detailed instructions below on how it works.
How to Register with Zeffy

The welcome page will appear. On the right-hand side you will have the choice:

You will then be asked:
How do you want to fundraise?

Create a Team — Give your team a name and the dollar target amount your team wants to raise.

Once this is input, click on CREATE A TEAM, JOIN A TEAM or SOLO CAMPAIGN.

You will now receive a prompt: Your team’s campaign is live!
The final step is to review your campaign and if all is well, click on Copy/Share to send the link, along with your personal invitation, to your friends, your family and coworkers, or to post on social media.red by designers. It's easy on the eyes and a great go-to font for titles, paragraphs & more.
Making Payments through Zeffy
Zeffy is a free service for Breast Cancer Action Kingston. They keep track of teams, individuals, and pledges, collect donations, and issue tax receipts on our behalf.
Unlike some platforms that charge a percentage, Zeffy lets donors choose whether to add a small “contribution fee.”
When making a donation:

Choose one of the suggested contribution fees, or choose Other and enter 0 if you prefer not to add one.

Important: If you skip this step, Zeffy will automatically add a fee on top of your donation
