QiGong
Qi Gong (pronounced Chi gong) is a practice of aligning breath, movement and awareness for exercise, healing and meditation.
With roots in Chinese medicine, martial arts and philosophy, Qi Gong is traditionally viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance Qi (chi), which can be translated as “intrinsic life energy”.
Typically, Qi Gong practice involves rhythmic breathing coordinated with slow, stylized repetition of fluid movement.
The goal is a calm state with visualization of guiding Qi through the body. No special clothing or equipment is required.

Aqua Fit
BCAK has been very fortunate to have formed a partnership with Aspira Senior Living, the parent company of The Royale and with that comes the privilege of using Royale's swimming pool.
Swimming is a wonderful and beneficial exercise for breast cancer survivors and we meet every Thursday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
We offer two sessions during the winter months; a gentle aqua fit for mobility challenged ladies and a more intensive and cardio program for those who wish to enjoy a good workout.
During the summer months we have one class only.
At the moment we are only allowed 10 in the pool maximum but we hope, when Covid regulations for gyms and sports are lifted, that we might be able to squeeze a few more in each class.
If you are interested, let us know immediately. Call the office at 613 531-7912 and leave a message for Lynne Funnell.
NOTE: New stricter COVID protocols are in place including a rapid antigen test before entering the pool.
